Finally, add the apple stars to the bowl and give everything a gentle toss. Pop the bowl in the fridge to chill until you’re ready to serve.

Fruit Swaps and Variations

  • Try other white fruits like watermelon, pineapple, or honeydew for the stars.
  • Add red fruits like raspberries or cherries, or even a handful of blackberries for contrast.
  • Toss with a simple honey-lime dressing (2 Tbsp honey + 2 Tbsp lime juice) to prevent browning and add a sweet, zesty finish.

Tips for Success

  • Choose ripe but firm fruit for the best texture and color.
  • Don’t skip the chilling time, this salad tastes best served cold!
  • Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Best enjoyed the same day. Do not freeze.
