Tips for Making a Valentine’s Day Waffle Board
- Keep the Valentine’s theme in mind. Focus on chocolate, hearts and a red, pink and white theme.
- Mix it up! I love this Valentine’s Day waffle board, but you could also create a pancake theme or bagel theme for your Valentine’s breakfast board. Add eggs, bacon or your favorites.
- Know the crowd! If your family loves sweets, add those. If serving a larger group, add a variety of options. Play around with the ingredients and use what you have on hand.
- Don’t forget toppings and dips! Since this is a Valentine’s themed breakfast platter, I used cream cheese, Nutella and red jam. Chocolate syrup or a strawberry yogurt dip would also be delicious.
- FIll your board completely. The appeal of a charcuterie board is the fullness of the items on the board. Fill the Valentine’s breakfast charcuterie empty spaces with fresh fruit, herbs or greenery.
- Keep it simple. You don’t have to make everything homemade. Use frozen pancakes or waffles and other store bought items to keep it simple. Your guests will still fall in love with the Valentine’s Day breakfast board!
